When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit. But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth: Wendy is a changeling who was switched at birth—and he’s come to take her home.
Fans of Evermore will love this book. I didn’t like so much about Finn. To be honest, I didn’t really like him as a character in general, but that’s probably because I’m not a fan of contemporary romance. I’ve read a few that I’ve liked, but that’s not so much really my genre. The changeling part was really cool though, and I liked the Vittra and especially as this book dives deeper into the series, I like how Wendy grows as a person. She is in a tough position, but she doesn’t budge when it comes to what she believes in, and I appreciate that.
The creativeness in this book stuck out as well, taking the stereotyped version of a troll and transforming it into the beautiful, magical, cool Vittra and Trylle. A good fantasy/adventure, but if you had to choose between Evermore and Switched, I would say choose Evermore by Alyson Noel. I would give it 3.5 stars. Recommended for teenage girls who like contemporary romance and fantasy.
