Today I’m excited to be hosting a friend of mine that is both amazing at blogging and writing: Stephanie Ehmann! Ehmann is doing Nanowrimo this year and I wanted to have her on the blog to talk about what Nano is and why she’s thankful for it:
Thankful for Writing Programs
Hello everyone, and thank you for being interested in #ThankfulForWords! My theme for today is Thankful for Writing Programs!
I’ve wanted to be an author since I first became obsessed with books, I became obsessed with the idea that I could one day go into a bookstore and see something I created on shelves, but I had a problem. Besides my blog, doing reviews, writing posts and such, I don’t write often. I’m one of those people that have to have every detail planned out to be able to write anything. That’s where NaNo comes in.
For those who don’t know, NaNo stands for National Novel Writing Month. It’s a website and month dedicated to motivate you and help you to organize yourself to write your novel. It is used by authors to just to participate and write alongside other people, and/or it can be used for newbies to help learn about themselves when it comes to writing, or just to dabble and write the best they can. The second last one is definitely me. http://
2015 will have been my first year participating in NaNo, and even though I’m only a few days into it, I’ve gotten only research accomplished. Though only a little bit of writing has been accomplished, I understand now that research is key for me, NaNo helped me realize that.
So my Thankful for Writing Programs theme is dedicated to NaNo, because maybe I’ll finally be able to create my novel.
Thanks to Ehmann for coming out on Thankful for Words, and for helping me with this event! Ehmann also creates some really cool book jewelry:
Heyyy! I’m Stephanie Ehmann. I am a book nerd in high school and I adore books. Being a book nerd, I always have a book with me. And when I have a moment, I am always reading.
One day I would like to be work in the book publishing industry, preferably in cover design.
