The Mondays Musts is a feature by Jessica @ Lovin’ los Libros! Every Monday, you post about your must read, must listen and must see.
A while back, I reviewed the latest installment in Kazu Kibuishi’s Amulet series, Firelight.
Let’s just say it completely wrecked me. For those of you considering reading this series, I would suggest waiting until the next book is out so you don’t have to struggle with me for the response to the cliffhanger at the end of Firelight.
But then again, you have six books to get through before it, and this is definitely a must read for anyone who enjoys graphic novels.
I’ve loved this series since day one, and its installment remain in my top ten favorite graphic novels even after years of other books. The characters are nuanced and the storyline is crushing with how great it is. Kibuishi tells this story as it can only be told in graphic novel form, and I enjoy every second of reading these books.
In the past couple weeks, I’ve been getting into more jazz and R&B, and I fell in love with this song when it was introduced to me. It’s a little different, but the combination of the voices and the lyrics and the music is just perfect.
Two Korean artists, Shin Danbi and Li Seok, came up with a collaboration project to maintain their romance over a long distance as one of them works in Seoul and the other works in NYC. Originally based on Instagram, you can see videos of this project and all of the pictures together on their website.
