The Mondays Musts is a feature by Jessica @ Lovin’ los Libros! Every Monday, you post about your must read, must listen and must see. Every week, I pick my musts based on a certain theme, which is expressed by one word that’s used within the post. The theme for last week’s picks was feels!
This one is so due for a reread. It captures the late-night feel of it so well. It’s cool and it’s dark and it’s a love story that I remember even three years after reading it.
I think Cath Crowley’s poetic writing was the first version of poetic voice that I truly loved (or that’s how I remember it, anyway). From the first time I read Graffiti Moon, I was blown away by the way she was able to string sentences together. Her writing is beautiful without being too much, and it was perfect for the story.
Graffiti Moon was the first of many in a spray-paint trend that’s emerging in YA now, and I’m currently bracing myself to be disappointed. This book sets the bar pretty high, but we’ll see.
A friend recently brought the group Seventeen to my attention, and I’ve been exploring their work a lot these days. One of my favorites within the group is Woozi, whose voice is just amazing. I love this song that he did with TROY’s Kanto. While the lyrics don’t all mesh, it was very well done, and I love listening to it. It’s got a Dean-type feel that I love, except it hits a little harder, on all the right notes.
Lotus in Hand is a master at handling cards. This control over them is incredible and completely mesmerizing. Good motivation for learning how to properly shuffle a deck!
If you did a Monday Musts, link it below and I’ll check it out! What do you think the theme today was?
