The Mondays Musts is a feature by Jessica @ Lovin’ los Libros! Every Monday, you post about your must read, must listen and must see. Every week, I pick my musts based on a certain theme, which is expressed by one word that’s used within the post. The theme for last week’s picks was cool.
Okay, I haven’t read this one yet, so I guess it’s not a Must Read so much as it is a Must See or a Waiting on Wednesday, but I had to do a post that highlighted just how excited I am for 2017! The covers and the blurbs for next year’s books are outstanding, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.
I just got approved for Roseblood by the fabulous A.G. Howard, and I can’t wait to crack it open. Be sure to add it on Goodreads, and check out this list of the other amazing reads hitting shelves next year.
BLACKPINK had their come-back! Okay, they came out about a week ago, but this has to go down in the Musts. They came out with Playing With Fire and Stay. Initially, I liked Playing With Fire a lot more and actually scheduled this post with that instead of Stay, but the more I listened to Stay, the more I liked it. First of all, the music video is really aesthetically pleasing. It also shows a completely different side of BLACKPINK than we’ve seen before in Boombayah, Whistle, and Playing With Fire. The song seems somewhat cliché and overdone at the beginning, but their voices and the lyrics come together to make a song that’s wholly nostalgic, sad, and hopeful all at once. Plus, I feel like my favorite (Rosé) really shined in this one, and I came to like Jennie a lot more because of this release.
Not only does Tweens Read Too, my middle-grade book blog, have a new design to it, but it’s also getting taken over by someone else. Yes, as you might’ve already seen on the picture above, I stopped posting regularly on Tweens Read Too about a month ago. You can read more about why I made this decision in my goodbye post. My cousin Elise will be officially taking over Tweens Read Too on November 10th. Up until then, we’ll be building up her social media profiles and customizing TRT to fit her. Stop by the blog on November 10th to see her first post!
Thanks again to all of you who have followed me on my blogging journey so far. It’s been a great one, and I hope it continues for a long time. ^-^
If you did a Monday Musts, link it below and I’ll check it out! What do you think the theme today was?
