The Mondays Musts is a feature by Jessica @ Lovin’ los Libros! Every Monday, you post about your must read, must listen and must see.
Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been around these past few days. I’ve been sorting out midterms, summer plans, and a few other things. I’ll be more active in the coming days, with two backposts with what I’ve been reading recently and replies to comments.
This must is a little bit different in that I have read it, but I’m not recommending it because I read it. I’m putting it as a must because I must try it again, and you should too.
I remember enjoying the book. I thought it was great, and I remember parts of the plot and the twists. However, I recently attended one of Soman Chainani’s writing workshops while volunteering at Cavalcade of Authors West, and it was incredible. He talked about plot and making multidimensional villains, and the entire thing was very inspiring. I loved hearing from him and wanted to reread this one asap! Looking forward to having a different perspective on this book and on the writing and characters than before.
Big thanks to Soman for coming out to CoA West 2017!
I like APink’s songs every once in a while, but Promise U is my favorite by far. I’ve enjoyed it since I first listened to it. The music video is pretty (if a bit boring), and the song itself is soft and bittersweet. Really different from their usual sound, and I’m hoping they’ll come out with something like it again in the future.
I was recently introduced to this YouTube channel that does kpop reaction videos with classical musicians. Normally, reaction videos get pretty old pretty quickly (yes, even JREKML has been losing my attention), but this channel is compelling because of how it analyzes music and helps the non-musically talented to see different aspects of music, kind of like a book blog ;). The reactors have also grown on me, and I’m steadily enjoying the channel more.
If you did a Monday Musts, link it below and I’ll check it out!
